3 Days Murchison Falls Adventure Safari : As a matter of fact, this Park is Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. This Park is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 45m over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison Falls. At Murchison Falls, the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the “Devil’s Cauldron”, creating a trademark rainbow. Additionally, this park is home to more than 73 animal species among which are four of the ‘Big Five’ including buffaloes, leopards, lions and elephants (except rhinos), has three-quarters of the world’s population of Rothschild giraffes plus a healthy population of herbivores which has recently doubled including the Uganda Kobs all of which can easily be seen during your game drives.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park-Top of the falls-Afternoon game drive
After your morning breakfast, you will be picked by our driver. Thereafter, start your journey to the magnificent Murchison Falls National Park. After checking in at the park, you will start with your first activity which is a walk to the top of the falls. Here, the Nile waters makes its way through a narrow gorge making a thunderous sound pouring downstream into the Victoria Nile. In fact, this place is good for memorable pictures and taking in the sounds and sights. Therefore, be ready to take as many photos here and videos for memories to take back home.
Later, head straight to the northern sector of the park for an afternoon game drive guided by the park ranger. Here, you will drive through different park tracks in search for different animals. These include; lions, hyenas, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, elephants, water bucks, Jackson’s hartebeests, etc. Afterwards, check in accommodation of your choice.

Day 2: Morning game drive-Afternoon Boat cruise
After your breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive with your packed lunch. It will be a great time as you look out for various animal species that you would have missed out the previous day. Drive direct to the dock in preparation for an afternoon boat cruise. Later, you will set off for your boat adventure and while on the cruise. While here, you will be able to view different water animals like the crocodiles and hippos. You will also spot some animals at the banks of the river as they quench their thirst; like elephants and water bucks. Also expect to see different bird species like the red-throated bee-eaters, kingfishers, martial eagles, etc. Feel free to take photos and videos as you enjoy the wildlife on water. The boat ride will take you to the bottom of the Falls and when you reach here you will be able to see clearly the mighty waterfalls. Don’t forget to pack some snacks and drinks to enjoy while on this adventurous 3 hour’s boat cruise. Afterwards, head back to your accommodation.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala
After your breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and start your journey back to Kampala. It will be a great time as you view various animal species as you drive through the park. However, most of them will be seen in the grasslands feeding. You will en-route lunch in Masindi and later back on the road for a late evening arrival in Kampala.
